Story: I was living in a very old church in Dallas (about 106 years old now), and it had a few ghost stories, but very little in the way of apparent activity. Most of the time, it was a quiet and tranquil place to be, and very pleasant.
Nothing happened to me until I announced that I would be moving on to another residence. Then, some very weird stuff. I was laying down to go to bed one night, and heard movement in the neighboring kitchen. Looking up through the stained glass window of my door, I saw a dark blotch move out of visibility through a break in the glass.
I got up and opened the door very quickly to see who was there, and there was no one in the kitchen. I would have definitely heard them leaving. The floors creaked everywhere. I walked across to the other side of the room to the stairwell, and was suddenly overcome with a very strange feeling of being electrocuted. Something reached into me and pulled me down to the floor. It was strange, like a hand closed around the center of my being and yanked down. I’m not religious at all, but out of desperation began to pray for help because I could not move. The feeling subsided, and I went beck to my room.
Some days later, I was in bed, and felt what I thought was my girlfriend getting in behind me. I could feel weight settling on the mattress and pillow. Then, the electrical thing started again with chills down my back, and I turned around to see no one there.
That was a weird time. I felt nothing but malevolence from whatever that was.
High EMF’s from bad wiring? Minor heart attack? Sure, could have been either of those, but still, it was weird. –Lee L

Response from Scott Markus:  That is an intense story! It would be quite interesting to learn of whether or not someone died in an electrocution accident at the location.  Does your story match up at all with any of the other reported stories or did you have an entirely unique experience?  Also, what was the name of the church?

Reply:  Well, there is a rumor that the previous owner spontaneously combusted, and the place nearly burnt down. There was indeed a large fire at some point.

I had an entirely unique experience, so it’s hard to corroborate. High EMF’s in bad wiring can of course cause those kinds of things.*

I’d spend the night there with ghost hunting equipment any day. At very worst, it is a historically awesome place.

*which I never would have known if I didn’t watch Ghost Hunters lol…
